Uberrime Amo Dildo Review

Uberimme’s Amo Silicone Dildo really surprised me. Its feel belies its appearance so completely. Amo’s overall silhouette, though coronated by a unique heart-shaped head, is pretty ordinary. Its g-spotting curve is about what I’d expect from Uberrime. The shaft’s width, at just under 1.5 inches, is average. It’s not terribly long either. Don’t misunderstand, I mean, Amo is absolutely gorgeous. It’s just that I wasn’t expecting it to feel as exceptionally exquisite as it does. I don’t own anything like it- and I’m a dildo connoisseur. With the addition of Amo to its lineup, Uberrime continues to please and delight.

It might look like dust on the black heart-shaped head but that’s actually holographic glitter.

Overview

Stylistically, Amo is a triumph. Its black pigment ebbs down into the white base in a way that’s totally unique. The result is a snakeskin-like pattern on the shaft. I don’t know how Uberrime has managed to create such a serpentine mix of color but I’m in awe of the artistry. The black head isn’t solid-colored either. Pearl pigment creates subtle lustrous horizontal lines across the glans. There’s also a touch of glitter. Upon closer inspection, it looks to be fine red holographic glitter and as a holosexual, the holo glitter gives me a quiet thrill.

Check out that swirl!

As with the company’s name, Amo’s name comes from the Latin for “I love.” So it makes sense that the dildo’s head is an upside-down heart shape instead of a more realistic glans.

Like my other two Uberrime dildos, Splendid Small and Medium, Amo is made of 100% body-safe Platinum Silicone that should last for many years. Unlike the other two dildos though, Amo is made of single density soft silicone. Because I adore soft dildos, I actually prefer Amo over my Splendid dildos. Note that it’s still firm enough to stand up to whatever you throw at it without flopping around wildly and generally being annoying in the way that soft dildos sometimes are.

Amo also has a more subtle curve than the Splendid line of dildos. To me, this doesn’t lessen the g-spotting ability of the Amo though because of its heart-shaped head. The dildo’s coronal ridge (or rather, the two voluptuously round arcs that make up the upside-down heart) sticks out more than a quarter-inch beyond the shaft. Despite having a less acute curve than other g-spot dildos, the large head gets the job done.

In Use

When I first saw Amo’s design, I figured the heart shape was a purely aesthetic choice that wouldn’t really impact the toy’s feel in use. Well, I was so wrong. So, so wrong. The Amo’s fat 1.75-inch head commands attention. It penetrates my vagina with a distinct pop and bumps against my g-spot with a kapow. That sensation doesn’t yield after insertion either; its deeply stimulating heart-shaped head makes its presence known. It’s all pleasure though, thanks in no small part to Amo’s somewhat soft 8A shore durometer silicone. I’m glad Uberrime chose to make this dildo softer than many of its other offerings. The head is so prominent that I don’t think it would be comfortable for me if it were firmer.

As I noted in my review of the Small Splendid, Uberrime bases function pretty effectively as suction cup dildos even if they weren’t intended to. You can stick Uberrime’s Amo a hard floor to ride and it will stay in place. Or you can stick two dildos end-to-end and they’ll suction themselves together on their own to create a double dildo (demo here).

Final Thoughts

I’m so happy to have the Uberrime Amo in my collection. Not only is it beautiful (like all of Uberrime’s handmade creations), it offers a unique sensation as well.
